A family carries the memory forward

When a permanent memorial to both ships was unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum in October 2020, Neil's family was represented. Guernsey Press identified photographer Andrew Lake as his grandson-in-law and reported that Andrew's son Callum also attended. Andrew supplied the photographs of the ceremony.
